What can i do about My apartment complex not letting me have internet?

So i have lived in this apartment complex for a couple months and have been trying to get internet, after going through hell and back not being able to get it connected.. i got someone to come out to see what the problem was. Apparently when the apartment people put up the new siding they damaged the wiring to the phone system.. So i can't get internet OR use a land line... i called them to tell them they needed to replace the wiring and they told me no.. I told them it was dangerous to not be able to use a phone incase of an emergancy and they still wont fix it.. In my lease it says i have to right to resonable repairs and if they dont comply i may break my lease. This is my first question here, and I'm hoping I will get some insightful answers. This will be lengthy and I apologize, but please allow me to explain the situation in full. I am 23 and am currently visiting my brother and sister- in- law for a couple of weeks. They have a five year old son who is a wonderful child, and generally very enjoyable to be around. However, a couple of days after I arrived, I was looking through my suitcase up in the guest bedroom when my nephew entered and closed the door behind him. I greeted him and he asked, "Want to play grown ups?" I said sure and asked him how you play. He started out by telling me we needed to go to the grocery store, preapre dinner, do the laundry. I went along with the game. Then he said it was "time to go to bed" and motioned for me to lie next to him on the floor. I obliged, not thinking anything of it, until he reached under my blouse and touched my breast. I quickly removed his hand and sat up but tried to remain calm as I know he's just a small child. I told him that was not at all appropriate and that it makes people feel very uncomfortable when they are touched in a private area, and to never do that to anyone again. He apologized to me, and then told me not to tell his parents because it would make his mommy cry if I did. Later in the evening, I did end up mentioning what happened to my sister-in-law, just to get her take on it and to make sure I had handled the situation appropriately since he is her child. She became very upset, and told me that this was very troubling because over the past several months this kind of thing has been an ongoing problem. He has been reprimanded twice at school for inappropriate touching of little girls. One incident was a kiss on the lips (that the little girl did not consent to apparently) which is probably rather innocent, but the second incident was his touching another little girl between the legs (also against the girl's will). He has an eight year old sister who has complained of having her nightgown lifted by my nephew even after repeated protestations from her. He has been told over and over and over again by teachers and his parents that acting on these body curiosities that he's having is just not appropriate and must be curbed. I completely understand that children will indeed explore things like this, but when does that type of behavior become excessive? I was compelled to ask for advice after playing with him alone again today. This time he told me we were going to play "boyfriend and girlfriend" and I told him that would be a silly game for us to play, because I am his aunt. He got off the topic and we began playing "superheroes" instead, but at one point during the game he approached me, took my face in his hands and pressed his open mouth against mine in a shockingly suggestive manner. I again tried to keep my composure and I told him that he cannot kiss me that way, that children and adults don't kiss each other that way. He responded with, "But I didn't touch your private parts this time." Perhaps I am over-reacting to this because I don't have children of my own, and I'm not a child psychologist, but his response very much alarmed me. He seems to have a very keen awareness of the impropriety of his behavior, but continues to do it anyway, and even begs me not to tell on him. I don't know what to say to my brother and sister-in-law, I don't know what to say to my nephew, and I'm really not sure what to think of the whole situation. I want to respond and act appropriately considering he is a child, but I do not want to have another incident where I am fondled, or made to feel uncomfortable by my own small nephew. Bed bugs didn't leave after exterminators came, why?

The exterminators came last Thursday and exterminated my entire apartment. Up until today, Wednesday the 22nd, I haven't had one bed bug bite, nor have I seen one. Befriended a mentally ill person, I now fear for my life?

I befriended this kid last year, he sat in the back of the room, very silent. He was smart, but then I got to know him. I learned he is fascinated with knives and guns. They're probably looking for water, not food. I found a rather unique solution to my ant problem right here in Y/A a few years ago. It's a bit unsightly for a few days, but it worked. Take a regular stick of chalk (I think the giant sidewalk chalk they sell in the toy dept. at Walmart might work better) and draw lines around the counter tops. Since you have cracks you might even use the chalk around the cracks. For whatever reason, the chalk drives the ants away. I thought it sounded crazy, but it works pretty well. Try using the chalk under the sink where the water pipes come in. Hope it works for you!

Therefore today we would have many different variations of humans, and medical doctors would have to learn how to treat all kinds of human variations, some with different layouts of organs, some with or without certain organs or glands, etc. In fact, humanity today should look a lot like the bar scene in Star Wars. And yet despite the innumerable variations in skin color and facial/body appearance of humans today, the overall makeup and functionality of humans today is remarkably singular. If global man-made exterminations did not occur, then a catastrophic event would have been required to erase all survivable mutations. This event would need to have been fairly recent, as we have not seen any "new" alternate variations of humans anywhere that have come up since. And, it would need to have been a remarkably selective catastrophe, since it managed to wipe out every single variation of human except for minor racial variations we see today, yet it was not powerful enough to kill the millions of animals and bugs and birds and every sort of creeping crawling things alive today. Should I exterminate a colony of field ants in my yard?

I recently bought a house in an established neighborhood (built in mid 50's with lots of trees). I was showering the other day and noticed an ant had gotten in. Since then i've only seen about 1 every 2 or 3 days but I know where their colony is. Found the anthill while mowing. My question is if I kill the ants will I have a bigger problem with some other creature or should I just leave it be and spray around my house to discourage their exploration of my home? Pretty sure they are field ants by the description and nest. Thanks

Pulmonary Embolism question?

I had bi-lateral pulmonary embolisms 5 months ago post-op and was hospitalized for a few days. My symptoms were 9/10 pain, could not move due to pain, shortness of breath, low sats, tachycardia, etc... The Doc said the pain should go away within 4-6 weeks. Since then, I have had the usual "zingers" of extreme pain which only last for a few seconds, and an ache of about 2-3/10 pain which comes and goes almost on a daily basis. But I have also occasionally been having signs of new PE's as well. This has happened about 3-4 times over the last 5 months, each time getting worse. Yesterday I had the *exact* same symptoms as my original PE with 9/10 pain, dyspnea, shortness of breath, etc... and But here is the kicker. These "attacks" are temporary and yesterdays episode only lasted about 10 minutes or so and left as quickly as it came. These are debilitating and cannot move or breath while I have them. I have to sit in a semi-tripod position and take very short, shallow breaths to keep the pain down. I have been treated for pleurisy (which I don't meet the criteria for but willing to try anything) and cannot distinguish the symptoms between my original PE and these episodes. However, I know that symptoms of a PE don't just "go away" like mine have been. I really feels like I have a sudden blockage of my vessel which breaks loose and allows blood flow again. Perhaps scar tissue or left over PE, I have no idea but am a Paramedic/Firefighter and return to work this week and CANNOT have this problem while on duty. My Doc doesn't know what is going on (she has referred me to yoga and acupuncture. I am looking for a new Doc right now) and need to get this problem fixed. I have searched the internet tirelessly and haven't found anything remotely comparable to my symptoms. Any thoughts?

If a state wants to keep juvenile criminal records sealed which basically means they can later apply for employment without having to worry about a background check exposing what they did as a juvenile for whatever reason they 'claim' then great, but how do they justify making an exception regarding juvenile sex offenders? If they are going to make exceptions then obviously the original reason behind sealing juvenile records is now shattered by their statute requiring juvenile sex offenders to report just like adult offenders. shouldn't the state now be required to make public all juvenile serious offenders' records? I've read that depending on household income if I decide to move away I should get a living grant of around 1 thousand a year. My parents joint income is around 35k so Im not sure if Im just out of that bracket. I downloaded Project64 on my personal computer and it works just fine. The problem now is that when I put it on a flashdrive to transfer it to an older computer, perhaps not as gamer friendly, it pops up error messages about the plugins; something about them either being missing or corrupt or something of that nature. PJ64 came with all of the various graphics plugins (Jabo_Direct3D8) and works fine on my computer but not on this older one that I want it to run on as well. Is there any way to adjust the actual computer (which I don't really want to do) or the program in some way (would prefer highly) to make PJ64 work on an older computer?

If we have mice in our garden rats will stay away is this correct?

Last year we had a rat problem - one got in the house from the back garden. Now that we seemed to have got rid of the rat problem I am catching rather a lot of mice in the same garden approximately 1 per day in the past week. I mentioned it to some friends who happen to live in the country and they told me that if we have mice we will not have rats as they do not mix - how true is this ?? I think the main reason for them in our garden is the pond as we do not put out food scraps for wildlife nor do we have pets or have a lot of waste / hiding places for them but the neighbours do. I would rather live with the mice than exterminate them and have the rats come back - has anyone heard this saying before or have any idea if it might be true ? ?
