Why does the left want Israel to essentially commit suicide?

Ignorance. It was obvious when Obama was antagonistic towards Israel during the flotilla incident. THe ships were supplying Hamas, and Obama spoke against them. The flotilla was bringing cement, which Hamas would of used for bunkers. Liberals are too ignorant on how things are run there.
