A Cousin Question, about being twice removed?

I think it is easier to do the way i have always done it. my mums niece is my first cousin , her son is my second cousin and then if he had kids then they would be my third cousin, my kids then would be that child's fourth cousin and so on and so on . all this twice removed stuff is to complicated
